My Dad

It all began in 1957. My dad, then a child, was watching the Milwaukee Braves-New York Yankees World Series with my grandfather. When asked why he was pulling for the Braves, my dad replied: “I hate the Yankees.”
That began what has thus far been two generations of Yankee-hating. In 1962 the Mets came to town. In 1979 so did I.

And the rest is history.

Two handsome guys

A big day all around. First beloved mascot Mr. Met gets to meet his hero, the man behind Willie Ball; then Mike Pelfrey make his first start in the bigs!

The Boss Gets Fired!

This picture was taken in 2002. There was a time when a wax likeness of George Steinbrenner warmed the cockles of my wife’s heart. Then I came along…

Eddie and Jeff

This picture was taken Opening Day 1999. The guy on the right is my wingman and Met buddy Jeff. As for the guy on the left.. What can I say? I had lots of hair before the Art Howe era.

Me

Your Willie Ball Blogger.

Rupert

My dog Rupert…the ideal Met fan. He doesn’t get too high or low after any single game and he likes nothing better than to curl up on the couch next to his old man and watch a game.
