I know why this man is $miling
If only I knew what the future would hold while I sat in misery at empty Shea during the Art Howe days!
Due to "extensive demand" for Met tickets this winter, the
only way to gain entry to Opening Day and Subway Series games in Flushing is through a random online drawing.
Seems advance sales (season packages, seven packs, etc.) have surpassed 1.6 million tickets and are 50 percent ahead of last winter’s rate.
The result: As few as 5,000 to 6,000 tickets for each of those four games are left.
A little bit of a bummer for fans who get left out, but, what can you do?
This is a small price to pay for being good.
After stinking it up for the first half of the decade, it’s nice to see Fred Wilpon’s business has become a smashing success.
So I’ll register for the drawing (Opening Day wasn’t in my seven pack!) and keep my fingers crossed.
Just use the money to keep re-signing the Wrights and Reyeses of the organization and get me a ring!

Pitcher Dave Williams -- out after surgery to repair a herniated disc in his neck -- will be sidelined for three months.

9 days ‘til pitchers and catchers.
And if you click over to Mets.com, you’ll see that the fellas’ equipment has already been shipped from Shea to Port St. Lucie.

Mets in '07!

Only a die-hard baseball fan would enter into a lottery for a chance to freeze to death (Opening Day). Good luck!!

One time I'll have to tell you guys about the February night (2005) I slept outside Shea to make sure I was at the front of the line for Opening Day and Subway Series tickets... that was definitely crazy! I got sick for a week after that lol.
I think ur right, Lee Ellen... better wait 'til summer until Kathryn makes her Shea debut!
Stay warm, everybody!

Kaylee, where on earth are you that it's 82 degrees?? It's 13 degrees in NY right now, and that's downright balmy compared with what it is in Chicago.

I'm jealous, Kaylee! If I could part with my sports teams, I'd love to move somewhere warmer. I cannot, however, so I'll be staying right here... close to Flushing and the Meadowlands lol
